Cambering |

Cambering of heavy-section rolled beams is no sinecure! It is however a perfect production method, as it does not affect the structure of the steel. Provided, of course, that the job is done by experts. Grünbauer can camber beams to a circular profile and parabolically. We regularly and effortlessly process beams of quality S355 considerably over HE-1000-M. For instance, HL-1100 R beams in St 37. Needless to say: with the customary Grünbauer-accuracy. |

Cranking |

We will crank any beam. Once, twice, as often as you want and in every position you specify. This is a real specialty of Grünbauer, we occupy a unique position in this field. We have the specialist tools to guarantee very accurate work, for all sections, both heavy and light. |

Section rolling |

Rolling - lighter - sections to peculiar profiles is no problem for Grünbauer. In strict consultation with our customer we make 'em to measure, faultlessly. |

Cold sawing |

Cold sawing of beams up to HE-1000-M, in square or mitre. Smooth edges and no overheating, in short, perfection all round. |

Splitting |

Grünbauer splitts steel. For instance, to cut a single I- or H-beam to obtain two T-shapes of non-standard dimensions. We can extend the cut till nearly under the flanges! Of course we also straighten the split sections, to correct deformations due to rolling stresses. Cutting of the basic shapes for castellated beams is another example of this technology. Simple straight castellated beams or sharply-curved, it's all in the day's work for us. |

Straightening |

Quite often, steel is not straight. Well, we straighten what is crooked. To the highest accuracy. Whether it concerns a light flat or a HE-1000-M. Whether it is bent in a single plane or twisted in both x- and y-planes. No problem. |

Welding |

We operate a rather unique high-capacity Haane-welding machine with twin welding torches, suitable for under-powder welding and CO2-welding. Heavy welds can be deposited in a single pass, so minimizing deformation. Welding lengths of over 30 metres are no problem for this plant. Whether it is a plate girder; or an omega-section girder; or a castellated beam; or a composite girder, made from split sections: we handle them at high speed while maintaining top quality. |

Gritblasting and welding primer |

Rolling mill scale and rust spoil all efforts in priming and coating of steel. We operate modern gritblasting plant of high capacity to remove scale and rust to best specifications. We suggest that you have US apply the welding primer to all steel we treat. This minimizes the risk of intermediate re-rusting during transport and storage and prevents problems in later coating. |
